Form 2G-Resistance thermometers are used as universal thermometer preferably in processes with liquid- and gas media under low pressure. The standard head is type B according to DIN 43763.

A standard sensor PT 100/2-wire, class B-type according to DIN IEC 751 is build in. On request 3- or 4-wire or double elements with 2- or 3-wire connection can be used.

Temperature sensors of this construction are used as universal thermometer, preferably in processes with liquid or gaseousmedia at low pressure.

The thermometer are supplied with flexible sheath ( mineral insulated cable) or rigid bulb. The protection against aggressive media is available by the use of different materials and protections of the bulb. Cable and bulb built a fixed connection.

As a standard we use a temperature sensor PT 100/2-wire, acc. DIN IEC 751. Their are no limits regarding the sensor, which can be built-in.

Application

This model of resistance thermometer is designed for rough industrial applications. Due to the low weight and the special mounting of the RTD this sensor is suitable for application where high vibrations can happen.

The standard sensors are platinum sensors with a nominal resistance of 100 or 1000 ohm (PT100 or PT1000). Also NTC’s, KTY’s or nickel sensors can be built-in. The standard plug connector allows a quick installation of the sensor. The ingress protection, when the plug is connected, corresponds to IP66/67.

The resistance thermometers of the PT Compact OEM series are designed for temperature measurement in applications up to 600 bar. The customer can choose different temperature ranges between –20°C and +120°C. The measuring ranges cover usual temperature measurement tasks in several applications. For other ranges tecsis offers the well known PT Compact series.

Resistance thermometers of the „PT Compact plus“ series have an integrated transmitter with a fixed measuring range. 4-20mA or 0-10V output signals are available.

Application

The resistance thermometers "PT Compact plus“ series are used for temperature measurement at low medium pressure. The possible measuring ranges between -200°C (-328°F) and +600°C (+1112°F) cover a big spectrum of temperature measurement tasks. The measuring range of the integrated transmitter is configurated at tecsis and can not be changed by the end user. The customer has the choice between standard ranges and individually programmed measuring ranges.

For quick response times there are special versions with a tapered stem available. High temperature versions are automatically configurated with a necktube. For a maximum of flexibility compression fitting can be used. In this case the insertion length of the PT Compact can be adjusted individually.

All media affected parts and the housing are made of stainless steel (1.4571 = 316TI). The electrical connection is realized via a L-Plug according DIN EN 175301-803, as an option a 4-pole M12x1 connection is available.

In the case of a damage, the measuring insert can be removed from the thermometer without opening the connection to the process. The wiring and the mechanical parts keep in place.
