USB
The PT Compact USB is the newest member of the PT Compact family. Programming of the measuring range is done with a standard USB Cable with Mini-USB plug and the programming software.

Application
The measuring range can be progammed with a tecsis software via an USB-port on the electronic board. The software runs on a standard PC or on an host capable pocket PC.
The PT Compact USB has an analogue output signal of 4…20 mA. The standard version has an aplication range of -50…200°C (-58°F...+392°F), the high temperature version can be used between -50 and +600°C (-58°F...1112°F). For programming the measuring insert has to be separated from the housing. Therefor the knurled nut has to be screed off. The thermowell and the housing can remain in the process. All mecanical components of the PT Compact USB are the same as of the standard PT Compact.
Different process connections, Stem length and diameter are available. For maximum flexibility compression fittings are available. All media affected parts and the housing are made of stainless steel (1.4571 = 316TI).
The electrical connection is realized via a L-Plug according DIN EN 175301-803, as an option a 4-pole M12x1 connection is available.
